2017 was another remarkable and productive year for Life Frames, Inc., non-profit sponsor of A Living Library, with relentless efforts to bring ecological greening across many environments of New York City and San Francisco while educating children, youth, and adults about natural systems and the importance of integrated diversity through Learning by Doing. The ‘Unsettled’ Exhibition (August 26, 2017 – January 21, 2018), curated by Joanne Northrup, Senior Curator from the Nevada Museum of Art, shows work of artists from the Greater West from Alaska to South America.  Please visit to see this futuristic artwork on A Living Library as a planetary genre before it closes on January 21. A Living Library Seen Through The Eyes of Children From Canadian International School of Milan, Italy

On a bright and sunny October morning (October 09, 2017) in Milan, Italy, a group of enthusiastic students from the Canadian International School of Milan gathered to participate in a Workshop on A Living Library with Bonnie Ora Sherk. Now Accepting Applications For A.L.L. Green Futures Paid Internship For Middle School & High School Students – Spring 2018 !

A Living Library is looking for 20 exceptional Middle School & High School students to join its A.L.L. Green Futures Paid Internship Program as A.L.L. Eco-Stewards for the 2018 Spring Semester. Immerse yourself in a hands-on program that integrates many positive ecological disciplines into two-hour sessions, three times a week! Whether you’re getting your hands dirty at one of the OMI/Excelsior Living Library Think Park’s Gardens, or learning about the latest organic edibles, the experiences that A.L.L. Eco-Stewards learn will stay with them for a lifetime. Earn community service hours or a monetary stipend by participating in the Program.

Bonnie Ora Sherk Presents Lecture On Funcshuional Art In Museum Of Arte Útil’s Escuela at Yerba Buena Center For The Arts

Bonnie Ora Sherk, long-time ecological artist, landscape architect, planner, educator, and Founder & Director of Life Frames, Inc. & A Living Library, presented a lecture on Funcshuional Art as A Living Library at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts on August 2 as part of Escuela d'Arte Util (School of Useful Art), part of Tania Bruguera’s Exhibition of the Museum d'Arte Util at YBCA. Her talk was live-streamed on the YBCA's website (see below). Bonnie Ora Sherk's work was also featured on a KQED radio broadcast and appears on the KQED website about the Exhibition and Arte Util.
